A subnet is a range of IP addresses in your virtual network in Azure. You can divide a virtual network into multiple subnets for organization and security. Subnets allow you to segment the virtual network into one or more subnetworks and allocate a portion of the virtual network's address space to each subnet. Azure resources such as virtual machines can then be placed in subnets.
